    Understand the adolescent living in your home: In this six week individualized workshop, learn effective discipline, using a positive approach, to help restore peace and improve your relationship with your teenage child. These sessions are individual, and the strategies discussed will be tailored to suit the needs of you and your family.

    Unlocking the mystery of ADHD
    In this 8 session workshop, individualized to meet the needs of your child and your family, you will learn how to effectively parent your child with ADHD and how to advocate for their needs within the public school system. Using a brain based perspective, you will understand how ADHD affects your child’s behaviour, why certain treatments are more effective than others, and develop a variety of parenting strategies that can be applied effectively in multiple situations, to help your child improve functioning academically, socially, and emotionally.

    Understanding your child’s Learning Disability
    In this 5 session workshop, you will increase your understanding of Learning Disabilities, from a brain based perspective. Learn how to help your child become more successful in school, at home, and socially. Learn how to advocate for your child within the public school system and help plan for their future.

    Introduction to Mindfulness
    Research has shown that Mindfulness can reduce stress and chronic pain, as well as, symptoms of depression and anxiety. This 6 week program is an introduction to the practice of Mindfulness. We will cover basic meditation techniques, as well as, ways to bring mindfulness into your daily life. In the first session, you and your psychologist will discuss an individualized plan to address the specific problems you are experiencing. 

    Healthy Living, Healthy Choices
    This program is for anyone who wants to make an important change in their life. Over the course of 10 sessions you will clarify your goals and set yourself up for success. You will also benefit from increased motivation and feedback from your psychologist. Whether you are looking to start exercising, quit smoking, loose weight, or make some other change, this program will be beneficial in reaching your goals.

    Overcoming Emotional Eating
    This program is for anyone who struggles with food or weight-related concerns. Together with your psychologist, you will learn to identify the underlying factors which contribute to unhealthy patterns of eating. Through practice, you will also become more aware of triggers for emotional eating and increase your ability to respond in adaptive ways. The duration of the program can be tailored to suit your individual needs.
